The funds for this mini grant were used to provide a speaker stipend and mileage payment to Kate Savageau-Eidem, library staff at Dakota County Library. Kate presented to our all-library staff monthly meeting on the topic “Neurodivergence at work”. The meeting was approximately 60 minutes long, with some time for questions afterwards. The presentation addressed information about many forms of neurodiversity and offered ways that neurodivergent library employees can advocate for their needs in the workplace. It also offered ways that supervisors and colleagues can support elements of universal design which will benefit everyone, regardless of how they identify.
