Funds were used to bring speakers to the class — the Sandoval/Echeverria family, owners of the Delicious Pupusas food truck. Three generations of the family were able to visit the class and discuss pupusas, a dish from El Salvador, and how each member of the family had a unique relationship to that dish. Prior to discussing the history and tradition of this dish in class, students and faculty helped make pupusas and had the opportunity to try them.
