LASO utilized the IEC funds to purchase decorations and photobooth supplies that were needed for creating a culturally authentic Quinceañera atmosphere. These expenses directly supported IDE goals by fostering a sense of belonging and visibility for Latine students, allowing them to see their traditions honored on campus, while the photobooth provided an inclusive, interactive space for students of all backgrounds to engage with the celebration. Ultimately, these funds ensured access to a high-quality cultural event that promoted cross-cultural appreciation and community building with the Carleton and St.Olaf community.
