In November, this group gathered at the Hideaway in Northfield to discuss teaching strategies, goals, and experiences. Our IDE goal (4.2.2) seeks to encourage dialogue from different perspectives on curricular activities, and together this group tackled issues related to workload, recognition, and department siloing (and how to overcome it!). Our group wants to increase the visibility of everyone in the library that has instructional duties, and our discussion focused on how best to do this. Different areas within the library offer unique perspectives on the curriculum, and we think it is essential for us all to have some awareness of what (for example) Special Collections or Cataloging contributes to instruction at the college.
