Held at a local business in downtown Northfield, the event successfully brought together 12 FOCA members representing 10 different academic departments across campus and a wide range of career stages—from early-career lecturers to late-career senior lecturers. The grant funds helped provide a welcoming environment featuring light snacks (fresh fruit and vegetables, chips, and dips) and one beverage per attendee. By removing the need for out-of-pocket contributions, the funding established an equitable space where non-tenure-status faculty could cultivate a sense of belonging, solidarity, and cross-disciplinary community.
