Brave Together: Healing-Centered Allyship When Values Are Tested
This session addresses the emotional labor and tension that arise when institutional roles conflict with personal and professional values. Participants will engage in healing-centered reflection and develop strategies for resilience and radical allyship.

Exploration of moral injury and courageous leadership
Breathwork and storytelling for healing
Collective strategy building across positionalities
This is part of the IDE Community Education workshops. Registration will be required.
Aida Martinez-Freeman, Ph.D. is a global strategist, consultant, keynote speaker, and executive coach. As founder and CEO of The Taina Collective, she helps leaders and organizations embrace holistic approaches to leadership that foster balance, ease, and fulfillment.
With over 20 years in higher education and experience partnering with organizations such as the George Family Foundation, Girl Scouts of River Valleys, and the City of St. Paul, Dr. Martinez-Freeman specializes in cross-cultural communication, hiring and retention, and burnout prevention. Her work has been featured in Minnesota Women’s Press, The Medium, and multiple podcasts. She holds degrees from Michigan State University, Indiana University-Bloomington, and North Dakota State University.
