Practice of Iterative Prompting with Generative AI

Thu, April 18, 2024 • 3:30pm - 5:00pm (1h 30m) • Weitz026 (IdeaLab) Note: if the group is too large, we move to Weitz235

To advance our collective conversation about Generative AI and how it might impact our work and teaching, we would like to offer you an opportunity to practice using AI tools in a community setting.

Please join us on April 18, 2024, 3:30-5pm, Weitz 026 (the IdeaLab) for a guided, hands-on session with generative AI.  We’ll start by discussing some general strategies for writing AI prompts and then writing follow-up requests (i.e. iterating) to refine the AI’s results. After about 45 minutes of this, we’ll reconvene to discuss our results.
We encourage you to bring a laptop, and to have a work or creative task in mind that you’d like to try with the AI. We can provide you with a device and a sample task, though, if you’d prefer.
This is a flexible session, so please join us when you can.
