Anton Chekhov’s classic tale of unrequited love is brought into the 21st century and out of Russia in  playwright Anja Reiss’ fresh and witty adaptation.  Set on the estate of the famous actress Irina Arkadina, The Seagull invites us into a world filled with unflinching desire for the wrong person and unending passion for art and a life of meaning. But what do you do when love is never returned and the meaning you so desperately sought is perpetually denied? With humor and compassion, Chekhov reveals the human capacity to endure in the face of an often merciless reality.
