Dental Insurance – Delta Dental
Carleton offers two dental insurance plans. The premiums are paid for by the employee, which is deducted on a pre-tax basis each pay period. Both plans cover preventative and diagnostic services at 100% and offer both In-Network and Out-of-Network coverage. Participation in the plan is voluntary. Both plans allow for domestic partner coverage.
Vision Discount Program – VSP Choice
Carleton offers a vision insurance plan, which provides discounts on exams and eyewear. The premiums are paid for by the employee, which is deducted on a pre-tax basis each pay period. Participation in this plan is voluntary.
Dental Plans
Value Plan: This plan offers coverage on basic services. The annual maximum per participant in the plan is $750 per calendar year, which excludes Diagnostic & Preventive Services.
Comprehensive Plan: This plan offers coverage of a wide array of services including orthodontics. The annual maximum per participant in the plan is $1,500 per calendar year, which excludes Diagnostic & Preventive services.
Vision Plan – VSP Choice (Discount Program)
VSP Choice: This is a vision discount program. Your annual eye exam is covered by your health insurance as a preventative service. The following is a summary of some of the discounts available to you through this program:
- Frames: $200 allowance and 20% off any amount above retail allowance (available every other year).
- Lenses: covered at 100% (available every year).
- Contacts: $130 allowance or paid in full if medically necessary (available every year).
- Lasik Eye Surgery: Discounts are available.
