Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord, MA is seeking applicants between the ages of 18- 30 (or up to 35 if you are a veteran), to apply for multiple internship positions.
Applicants must be citizens of the United States.
These are paid internships, – lasting 6-7 months, 40 hours a week, and each internship offers professional development training and a housing stipend to off-set or support living costs, (as housing within the park may not be available this year).
Natural Resource Associate: Join the accomplished team of Integrated Resource Management for a six-month internship in partnership with American Conservation Experience to explore and support various projects that will improve biodiversity within Minute Man National Historical Park. This exciting position works within a dynamic team across the park to address projects in wetlands, meadows, cultural landscapes, and more. The position provides professional development opportunities to learn and also contribute to the National Park Units of Eastern Massachusetts. This position is slated to be filled in May 2024.
Public History Interpreter Internship: This 7-month position is a part of a larger team of Interpretive Park Rangers and volunteers to share the fascinating park history with the public over the spring, summer and fall of 2024. Minute Man Park receives over 1 million visitors a year, and many of these visitors stop in at the park’s two visitor centers, attend public programs, as well as special events. The public history interpreter will be part of the interpretive team, orienting visitors and presenting both formal and informal interpretive programs and opportunities for the visiting public. Interpretation duties involve customer service orientation and public speaking within a safety- preservation framework and will receive training, coaching, and opportunities to develop these skills.
