- ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union). Variety of internships available across the country. Unpaid, possible college credit.
- American Antiquarian Society. Six internships in history, literature, library science, archival management and museum studies are offered each cycle. Spring cycle: application and resume due by December 31st; Summer cycle: application and resume due by April 15th, Fall cycle. Unpaid.
- American Craft Museum / Museum of Art and Design (MAD). New York, NY. Unpaid, possible college credit.
- American Folk Art Museum. New York, NY. The web page states: “The American Folk Art Museum is seeking a part-time intern for Spring/Summer 2017 and/or Fall/Winter 2017–2018 for its 20th & 21st Century Self-Taught Art Curatorial Department.” Unpaid, possible college credit.
- Amnesty International. Unpaid internships, human rights activism. In various offices (New York, D.C., Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta).
- Asia Society and Museum. The leading educational organization dedicated to promoting mutual understanding and strengthening partnerships among peoples, leaders, and institutions of Asia and the United States in a global context. - Baseball Internships. Internships with Major League Baseball clubs. Most are unpaid, with mandatory college credit.
- Bronx African American Oral History Project. Archival research, editing, transcribing of oral history interviews.
- Bronx Museum of the Arts. Internships in galleries, from 3 to 5 days per week. Paid.
- Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. Paid horticulture internships.

- The Cloisters Metropolitan Museum Internships. New York, NY. Teach day campers and adult Museum visitors about the collection. Two months of summer, paid.
- Colonial Williamsburg Foundation Fellowship open to junior scholars. The Robert M. & Annetta J. Coffelt and Robert M. Coffelt, Jr. Fellowship, available for between one and three months, is intended for doctoral candidates and junior scholars working on topics related to the American Revolution, Early Republic, or ideas and philosophies of America’s founding fathers. Paid monthly stipend.
