“Freedom Then, Freedom Now: Black History and Protest Art”: Student Exhibition

Closing out this year's Black History Month, history students (HIST 126, “African American History II: 1865 until Today,”) synthesized their knowledge of African American history and the ongoing Black Freedom Movement. In cooperation with the Department of Art and Art History, students created their own text-based letterpress works in reference to Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr.’s Rosa Parks series. We cordially invite you to join us for the opening and student reception of "Freedom Then, Freedom Now" in the exhibition space in upper Sayles-Hill, by room 243, in cooperation with the Office of Intercultural Life (snacks will be provided). The exhibit will be displayed until March 14, 2024.
