Black History Month Movie & Music Night: Summer of Soul!

Thu, February 27, 2025 • 5:30pm - 7:30pm (2h) • LEI 304

In the summer of 1969, the Harlem Cultural Festival was filmed in Mount Morris Park (now Marcus Garvey Park). The footage was largely forgotten – until now. Summer of Soul, directed by Questlove, shines a light on the importance of history to our spiritual well-being and stands as a testament to the healing power of music during times of unrest, both past and present. The movie features performances by Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Gladys Knight & the Pips, B.B. King and more.

Join us for a night of music, dancing, and free dinner!
