Our Research Goals
Our lab aims to understand the causes of and maintaining factors for select anxiety disorders, trauma-based disorders, and substance use disorders, toward the development of prevention protocols. We have also studied the high rate of co-morbidity between substance use and anxiety disorders.
The anxiety and trauma-based disorders on which our lab has focused are panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the substances on which we have focused are nicotine and alcohol.
