National Humanities Center residential fellowships

1 August 2019

The National Humanities Center in the vibrant Research Triangle region of North Carolina invites applications for academic-year or one-semester residential fellowships for the period September 2020 through May 2021. Mid-career, senior, and emerging scholars with a strong record of peer-reviewed work from all areas of the humanities are encouraged to apply, as are individuals from the natural and social sciences, the arts, the professions, and public life who are engaged in humanistic projects.

Scholars from all parts of the globe are eligible; stipends and travel expenses are provided. Fellowship applicants must have a PhD or equivalent scholarly credentials. Fellowships are supported by the Center’s own endowment, private foundation grants, contributions from alumni and friends, and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Applications are due by Thursday, October 10, 2019. Christopher Tassava in Corporate & Foundation Relations will be pleased to assist any prospective applicants with their proposals, which will include a brief project narrative, a short bibliography, a CV, and a succinct outline of the structure of the project.
