8 June 2006

The Science Education Center received two subawards as part of National Science Foundation projects being run at other schools. A Course, Curriculum, and Laboratory Improvement award to the Ohio State University included $54,635 in funding for SERC to offer web services related to the use of the landmark legal case made famous by the book A Civil Action in geoscience education. With a $4,685 contract from the University of Vermont, SERC will also help run a workshop on “Reconsidering the Textbook,” part of an NSF Division of Undergraduate Education award to Vermont.
