Carleton has been awarded a Jean Dreyfus Lectureship from the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation to bring a leading researcher in chemistry to campus and to support undergraduate research in chemistry.
According to Matt Whited, Professor and Chair of Chemistry, the Chemistry Department will host Prof. Tim Swager of MIT as Carleton’s Dreyfus Lecturer from April 30 to May 1, 2026. Prof. Swager will meet with faculty and student groups, visit a class, and present two lectures (April 30 and May 1, with the former directed toward a general audience). Dreyfus funding will also support two Student Research Partners in Chemistry during summer 2026.
Carleton previously received a Jean Dreyfus Lectureship grant in 2013.
