Eric Egge, professor of mathematics, has received an AMS-Simons Research Enhancement Grant for Primarily Undergraduate Institution (PUI) Faculty from the American Mathematical Society. With generous funding from the Simons Foundation, the AMS-Simons PUI grant program supports research-related activities of PUI faculty. During the three-year award period, Prof. Egge will work on problems involving pattern-avoiding permutations and, separately, explore and engage with the field of combinational game theory, studying both impartial and partizan games.
