The Science Education Resource Center received a $119,088 grant from the Division of Earth Sciences of the National Science Foundation for a project on “Building Strong Geoscience Departments II.” The project aims to help geoscience departments thrive by sharing information about successful ways of addressing rapid changes in the research and educational environments and especially of ensuring faculty excellence as teachers and researchers. Using topical workshops, panels at professional societies, and surveys to gather information, the project will launch a website to disseminate findings to the worldwide geoscience community.
