Claire Larson, Visiting Instructor in Music and Director of the Carleton Symphony Band, is the recipient of a Legacy Grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council (SEMAC) for “Copper Street on College Street: Brass at Carleton.” This project will bring the accomplished Copper Street Brass to campus for a three-day residency in February 2023. Part of CSB’s mission is to provide educational programs that “bring a fresh perspective to instrumental music” and engage audiences of all ages. During their residency, CSB will rehearse with the Carleton Symphony Band; hold an ensemble clinic with groups from Carleton and area high schools; and perform a free public concert with the Carleton Symphony Band.
