The health and safety of all participants on our programs is our highest priority. We select program locations where we feel confident that we can deliver academically rigorous and experientially rich programs while keeping students safe.

While there are risks inherent in all international activities, we plan carefully to mitigate these risks. We offer full international travel assistance, evacuation, and medical insurance through Cultural Insurance Services International (CISI) and prepare our students through extensive information on our website’s health and safety and travel planning pages, pre-departure readings, presentations, and orientations.

Our directors are experts in their academic fields and in the locations where they lead students. Our programs are supported by on-site partners who provide orientation, advice, and on-going support to both students and the program directors. We follow best practices for Health and Safety Abroad as outlined by our professional association, the Forum on Education Abroad. We monitor international events daily and develop contingency plans for all program locations in case of an emergency.

In the event of a crisis, we work with students and families on an individual or group basis. We have a staff member on-call at all times. The on-call number is given to all accepted students. More detailed information is given to students upon acceptance to the program and throughout the pre-departure phase, however, advisers, students, and parents are welcome to contact us at any time with questions or concerns.
