Lincoln Alpern (Left), WGSE Student in 2010

Lincoln attended Antioch College and Non-Stop Antioch and graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London, with an M.A. in Postcolonial Culture and Global Policy. In 2017, a ten-minute play that Lincoln wrote, Grandma Daniella, was one of six scripts selected for a dramatic reading by the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, in honor of the centenary of women voting in the Hudson Valley. Recently Lincoln was a guest speaker on a book discussion podcast talking about gender and masculinity in The Lord of the Rings. He is a member of the Cortlandt-Peekskill Anti-Racist Collaborative (2011-present). Currently, Lincoln is teaching himself podcast production skills and considering starting his own podcast that would focus on masculinity and explore better models for men and male-bodied people to replace the toxic, patriarchal scripts that dominate our culture.
