Reunion Giving Highlights

Carleton hosted 2,400 friends, family, and alumni from the Class of 1947 through the Class of 2025 at this year’s Reunion. Everyone enjoyed rekindling connections with classmates, rediscovering campus, listening in on Alumni College sessions, and of course, celebrating all things Maize and Blue.

50th Reunion: Coming together for Carleton

Members of the Class of 1975 celebrated their 50th Reunion and their lifelong commitment to the College with a class gift of $16.2 million, which included $100,000 in unrestricted giving to the 2025 Alumni Annual Fund. Inspired by their class theme “Come Together,” 38 classmates attended Reunion for the first time this year–a 50th Reunion record.

In celebration of their 50th, the class established the ’75 First at Carleton Fund to expand the College’s ability to support the full, rich Carleton experience and all its benefits for students who are first in their families to attend college. The $1.5 million endowment will connect first-generation students with the vital resources they need to build essential skills, support their academic and extracurricular experiences, and, ultimately, facilitate their successful graduation from Carleton. A remarkable 56 percent of the class made a gift during their 50th year, and 1975 doubled their membership in the Joseph Lee Heywood Society, ending their 50th campaign with 59 members.

25th Reunion: 2000 heroes

In celebration of their 25th Reunion, the Class of 2000 raised their largest class gift for the Alumni Annual Fund ever, giving $258,656 and supporting the College’s flexibility to meet ever-evolving needs with unrestricted gifts. Throughout their ’00s to Heroes gift campaign, the committee approached their work with optimism and creativity, working to ensure that all classmates were invited to be part of their collective impact. Approximately 46 percent of the class came together to pay it forward to current Carleton students, helping to ensure that every student experiences all Carleton has to offer.
