Annual Giving Highlights

The Alumni Annual Fund raised more than $6 million for Carleton, with contributions from 12,627 alums. Total annual giving surpassed $7.2 million, including gifts to the Parents Fund and Friends Fund, as well as corporate matching contributions. More than half of all alumni made contributions to the Annual Fund this year. And more than 600 alumni volunteered their time as class agents, assistant agents, and reunion gift committee members to help in this remarkable effort.

Reunion Giving Highlights

Reunion classes from 1936 to 2006 raised nearly $2.3 million in gifts for the 2011 Alumni Annual Fund. Participation in all reunion classes was strong, averaging 54 percent overall. The Class of 1991 set a new 20th reunion gift record of $305,335 and a 20th reunion participation record of 63 percent.

Class Bests to Celebrate:

  • The Class of 1961 set a 50th reunion participation record of 88 percent.
  • The Class of 2006 set a 5th reunion record of $45,909.
  • The largest class gift to the AAF this year came from the Class of 1986: $426,663.

50th Reunion

The Class of 1961 broke Reunion attendance and participation records as it celebrated its 50th reunion in June. With their gift, the class has named the courtyard in the new Weitz Center for Creativity. 

Post-50th Reunions

Alumni celebrating their 55th, 60th, 65th, 70th and 75th reunions raised more than $20.3 million for the College since their last milestone reunion in 2006.
