Ask almost any Carleton alumni what they remember most about the college, and you’ll likely hear about lifelong friendships. Even decades after graduating, many Carls continue to keep in touch with roommates, peers, and faculty mentors. It’s this sense of community that those who support the college—and especially members of the Joseph Lee Heywood Society—nurture and sustain.
By joining the Heywood Society, you ensure financial support will be available to sustain this tradition of bonding for generations. Scholarships will continue to introduce students from different socioeconomic and geographic backgrounds, Career Center staff will continue to assist students in networking and exploring paths for life post-graduation, research stipends will help students work side-by-side with professors in real-world lab settings, civic engagement funds will allow students to apply classroom knowledge in the community and see how they can positively impact the world around them—and so much more.
Thanks to you, Carleton—along with its beloved traditions and community ties—will endure and thrive from one generation to the next. You are bolstering our ability to deliver the very best liberal arts education anywhere into perpetuity. As we collectively await the day we can gather in person again, we proudly celebrate all that your generosity will accomplish and send our profound gratitude.
