18 May 2023

Congratulations to the receipts of the 2023 Kuennecke Fellowship! The Kuennecke Fellowship was established to promote immersion in and engagement with German-speaking cultures through study programs, internships, research, and other opportunities in German-speaking countries.

This year’s awards go to Scott Hudson ‘24 and Harrison Redfern ‘26. Congratulations!

Scott was awarded a fellowship to conduct research at the Deutsche Kinemathek in Berlin regarding the changing perceptions of Marlene Dietrich in Weimar Germany, with an emphasis on how views of her and judgment of her work changed after she emigrated to the United States to work in Hollywood. Harrison was awarded a fellowship to support his participation in an AATG summer language program in Bonn. Congratulations to both Scott and Harrison!

Applications are accepted annually. Students interested in applying for the 2024 Kuennecke Fellowships can find more information here
