Prof. Juliane Schicker, associate professor of German, published an article titled, “Redesigning the Survey Course: A Focus on Music, Historically Excluded Identities, and the Canon” in Die Unterrichtspraxis/Teaching German. The article was workshopped during a 2023 reading circle with her colleagues, sponsored by Carleton’s Humanities Center, and originated from her work in the classroom that she presented at an ACTFL conference and a blog post for our Critical German Studies Blog.
