  • Undergraduate Summer Internship Opportunity (NASA’s SUPPR) 2019

    The NASA Planetary Geology and Geophysics Undergraduate Research Program has a new name: it’s now known as NASA’s Summer Undergraduate Program for Planetary Research (SUPPR) and it is accepting applications from students who are interested in exploring planetary science for 8 weeks this summer under the mentorship of a NASA-funded researcher.

  • International Volcanological Field School

    Our International Volcanological Field School is a 3-credit course offered through the University of Alaska Fairbanks in two sessions each summer in Katmai National Park, Alaska and Mutnovsky and Gorely Volcanos, Kamchatka, Russia. This course provides undergraduate and graduate students interested in volcanology with direct access to areas of active volcanism and with opportunity to discuss volcanic processes while examining the products of recent eruptive deposits.

IBES is a leading interdisciplinary institute addressing the grandest environmental challenges facing 21st-century society, located at Brown University in Providence, RI.
