Sustainability Assistant Application
STA are members of the Carleton’s Peer Leader Program which offers a comprehensive developmental experience for students, offering opportunities to create programming, resources, and peer support while fostering critical thinking and personal growth.
The Sustainability Assistant Role works to promote sustainability and environmental justice on campus, with responsibilities including supporting sustainability initiatives, managing communication channels, and assisting with events like Climate Action Week.
The position offers paid, part-time work (10 hours per week) and requires a passion for environmental and social justice. STAs collaborate with students, faculty, and staff, focusing on areas like food systems, zero waste, and climate resilience.
Qualified candidates are not necessarily those with the most sustainability experience or associations. We welcome diverse expertise relevant to the challenges we address.
We recommend applicants make an appointment or visit SCA drop-in hours to review application materials before submitting. Appointments can be made with an SCA or a career coach via Handshake.
