The 18th Multidisciplinary Conference on Sinkholes and the Engineering and Environmental Impacts of Karst, also known as the Sinkhole Conference is October 5-9, 2026 in Albany, New York. The conference supports student through the Barry F. Beck Sinkhole Conference Student Support Award.
Beck Student Support Award recipients receive:
- One free Sinkhole Conference registration for the 18th Sinkhole Conference in Albany, New York, October 5-9, 2026.
- One free registration to a field trip and short course (pending space availability).
- Reimbursement for up to $500 of personal individual travel, food, and lodging expenses associated with attending the Sinkhole Conference.
To apply for the Beck Student Support Award students must:
- Be a graduate or undergraduate student at an academic institution at the time of application
- Present at the Sinkhole Conference (see abstract and paper submission requirements)
- Submit a 500-word maximum statement describing your career goals and interests
- Submit this completed APPLICATION FORM.
