Our Spring Programs in Paris, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco are now closed. There are a handful of remaining places in London, Paris and New York, however we expect to close those locations in the next two weeks.

Our Summer programs continue to fill at a record rate, and I would encourage any interested students to apply now to avoid disappointment.

The NASA Planetary Geology and Geophysics Undergraduate Research Program has a new name: it’s now known as NASA’s Summer Undergraduate Program for Planetary Research (SUPPR) and it is accepting applications from students who are interested in exploring planetary science for 8 weeks this summer under the mentorship of a NASA-funded researcher.

Applications are due on February 4, 2019.

Our International Volcanological Field School is a 3-credit course offered through the University of Alaska Fairbanks in two sessions each summer in Katmai National Park, Alaska and Mutnovsky and Gorely Volcanos, Kamchatka, Russia. This course provides undergraduate and graduate students interested in volcanology with direct access to areas of active volcanism and with opportunity to discuss volcanic processes while examining the products of recent eruptive deposits.

The Institute at Brown for Environment and Society (IBES) is launching its second year of the IBES-Leadership Alliance Summer Research Early Identification Program. IBES is a leading interdisciplinary institute addressing the grandest environmental challenges facing 21st-century society, located at Brown University in Providence, RI.

The NASA Airborne Science Program invites highly motivated advanced undergraduates to apply for participation in the 11th annual NASA Student Airborne Research Program (SARP 2019).

GIA (Gemological Institute of America) invites qualified candidates to apply for its Research-Identification Internship Program at its Carlsbad, California and New York City locations. Ideal applicants will be students pursuing a Bachelor of Science and/or Master of Science in physics, materials science, geology, chemistry and related fields. The selected individuals will have the opportunity to learn and practice gemology by performing all types of thorough analysis of diamonds, colored stones and pearls. Interns will receive ongoing mentoring from experienced GIA scientists and gemologists in the areas of spectroscopy and gemology.
