City Internships 201928 January 2019
Our Spring Programs in Paris, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco are now closed. There are a handful of remaining places in London, Paris and New York, however we expect to close those locations in the next two weeks.
Our Summer programs continue to fill at a record rate, and I would encourage any interested students to apply now to avoid disappointment.

Undergraduate Summer Internship Opportunity (NASA’s SUPPR) 201924 January 2019
The NASA Planetary Geology and Geophysics Undergraduate Research Program has a new name: it’s now known as NASA’s Summer Undergraduate Program for Planetary Research (SUPPR) and it is accepting applications from students who are interested in exploring planetary science for 8 weeks this summer under the mentorship of a NASA-funded researcher.
Applications are due on February 4, 2019.

International Volcanological Field School14 January 2019
Our International Volcanological Field School is a 3-credit course offered through the University of Alaska Fairbanks in two sessions each summer in Katmai National Park, Alaska and Mutnovsky and Gorely Volcanos, Kamchatka, Russia. This course provides undergraduate and graduate students interested in volcanology with direct access to areas of active volcanism and with opportunity to discuss volcanic processes while examining the products of recent eruptive deposits.

UNAVCO’s Student Internship Program (USIP) 201914 January 2019
UNAVCO’s Student Internship Program (USIP) is now accepting applications from graduate and upper-division undergraduate students. USIP interns work on real-world work experiences along side UNAVCO staff where they contribute their knowledge, skills, and abilities to specific projects.

Research Internship Program in GIA7 January 2019
GIA (Gemological Institute of America) invites qualified candidates to apply for its Research-Identification Internship Program at its Carlsbad, California and New York City locations. Ideal applicants will be students pursuing a Bachelor of Science and/or Master of Science in physics, materials science, geology, chemistry and related fields. The selected individuals will have the opportunity to learn and practice gemology by performing all types of thorough analysis of diamonds, colored stones and pearls. Interns will receive ongoing mentoring from experienced GIA scientists and gemologists in the areas of spectroscopy and gemology.
