Dan Maxbauer and alumni publish carbon dioxide removal paper in Frontiers in Climate

Dan Maxbauer, assistant professor of geology, published a paper with several alumni in a special section on carbon dioxide removal in the journal Frontiers in Climate. Alumni co-authors include Ella Milliken ’22Jaren Yambing ’22Emma Watson ’23Rachel Gregg ’25, and Liza Swanson ’25. The study evaluates the effectiveness of mineral weathering as a strategy for carbon dioxide removal in croplands during a three-year field experiment conducted at Carleton.
