Carleton geothermal efficiency experiment makes GSA today cover

As part of the installation of Carleton’s district-scale geothermal system, a group of faculty, staff, and alumni designed a scientific experiment monitoring its efficiency. The results have now been published in GSA Today as its cover story. Chloé Fandel, assistant professor of geology; Dan Maxbauer, assistant professor of geology; Sarah Titus, department chair and professor of geology; Mary Savina ’72, Charles L. Denison Professor of Geology, emerita; Jon Cooper, technical director in geology; Kelton Barr ’72Bob Tipping ’81; and former faculty and staff Bruce Duffy and Martha Larson all contributed to the research.
