Scott Carpenter, Marjorie Crabb Garbisch Professor of French and the Liberal Arts, recently published a personal essay about life in France. Bearing the title “Squirrel Pie and the Golden Derrière,” it appeared in Lowestoft Chronicle. This same piece recently won a Mark Twain House Royal Nonesuch Prize.
