Chérif Keïta, William H. Laird Professor of French and the Liberal Arts, was recently honored by the Mande Studies Association with Volume 22 of the Mande Studies journal (Indiana U. Press), published with a “Special Feature on Chérif Keïta,” a festschrift celebrating the legacy of Chérif Keita as a scholar and mentor. Contributors include scholars in Religious Studies, Ethnomusicology, Anthropology, Geography and Law, both in the United States and South Africa.
