The application deadline is February 15, 2017.  The full-time, 10-week program will start May 22 and run until July 28 (Don’t let the start date stop you; still apply!). Our research theme of Aquatic Chemical Ecology is broadly interpreted.  We have 3 core areas of research for students to choose from: Biological and geochemical transformations of chemicals in aquatic ecosystems; Sensory biology and ecology of aquatic chemical communication; Ecological roles and consequences of chemicals in aquatic environments.

With the assistance of a generous NSF grant, the University of Chicago runs a summer immersion experience during which undergraduates conduct independent research under the mentorship of graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and faculty, while also learning how to communicate about science with one another. The program offers a generous stipend, lodging, travel to/from Chicago, and a food assistance stipend. For Junior students interested in Molecular Genetics and/or Cell Biology

Deadline February 3rd. Student Research at Another Institution: The Kolenkow-Reitz Fund provides student stipend and travel support for Carleton students working with non-Carleton science and math faculty at another institution during summer break.

Deadline February 15th, 2017. The Gateway Geology program is looking for Carleton first and second year students to apply for summer geoscience field experiences! That means you! No geology background needed, only enthusiasm for science.
