  • Summer STEAM

    Deadline: March 1st, 2017. Summer STEAM: Faribault Summer STEAM is a summer program focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The program helps students improve their reading, math, and digital literacy skills and provides students with a number of hands-on enrichment activities that they don’t have access to during the school year. Both part-time and full-time internships are available.

  • Deadline: Tuesday, March 15, 2017. A SciTechsperience company called Intertech based in Eagan, MN has launched its scholarship opportunity for 2017. This opportunity is focused on current students and incoming first year students in fall 2017 aspiring toward computer science degrees and careers as software developers. This non-renewable scholarship* (only awarded for one year to any scholarship recipient), in the amount of $2500, will be available for college or high school applicants starting January 1st, 2017.

  • MHTF STEM Scholarship

    13 February 2017

    Deadline April 1st, 2017. We are currently accepting applications for the Minnesota High Tech Association Foundation (MHTF) Scholarship. The scholarships are for Minnesota undergraduate students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. These awards range from $2,500 to $5,000 awards and can include internship opportunities at MHTA member companies. MHTF supports diversity in this application and award process. Sophomore-Senior eligibility.

  • Deadline: March 7th, 2017 for Fall 2017. The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program offers grants for U.S. citizen undergraduate students of limited financial means to pursue academic studies or credit-bearing, career-oriented internships abroad. Such international exchange is intended to better prepare U.S. students to assume significant roles in an increasingly global economy and interdependent world. Over 2,800 scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded this academic year for U.S. citizen undergraduates to study or intern abroad. Award amounts will vary depending on the length of study and student need.

  • Deadline: March 31st, 2017. The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Twin Cities Professional Chapter (SHPE-TC) is dedicated to empowering our local Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and impact the Twin Cities through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) awareness, access, support and development. One of SHPE’s missions is to provide scholarships and mentoring to local Hispanic college and high school students pursuing STEM careers. The Chapter will be awarding multiple scholarships starting at $1,000.

  • MnDRIVE

    1 February 2017

    Deadline: February 10th, 2017 – 5pm.

    This program offers research in two MnDRIVE initiatiaves: brain conditions and environmental remediation.  We will choose up to ​6 students as matches to the options shown on the attachment. This program does not include additional workshops, but we invite these students to join in the evening social activities of the MSROP program​. General information:  link to MnDRIVE

  • Deadline: February 15th, 2017. The University of Wisconsin–Madison offers a number of Summer Research Opportunities to undergraduate students. These are unique opportunities for undergraduates to work closely with faculty mentors and graduate students in their major discipline. Students accepted into research programs are matched with faculty whose expertise and interests match the student’s research interest. Students gain valuable skills for success in post-graduate studies and careers in their chosen field. Upon completing their summer research, students have the opportunity to present and receive reviews of their individual work. The SROP goal is to create a diverse academic environment by increasing the number of traditionally underrepresented students in UW–Madison graduate programs and ultimately the professoriate.

  • Deadline: March 1, 2017. Established in 1986, the Multicultural Summer Research Opportunities Program (MSROP) at the University of Minnesota provides undergraduates an opportunity to develop research and inquiry skills with a faculty mentor on an individual basis or as part of a research team, which may include graduate students, research scientists, technicians and other MSROP students.

  • Saturday, Feb. 18th, 2017. Register for the Jump Start STEM Job Research Fair! Have conversations with professionals in STEM fields, engage in workshops on interviewing and job search tools. Hosted at Augsburg College.

  • Deadline: February 18th, 2017. The City of Minneapolis, Minneapolis Public Schools, Greater Twin Cities United Way, Hennepin County, Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, and the State of Minnesota are currently seeking future leaders for employment in a summer leadership development program for college students from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds.
