The FOCUS program, open to all students, aims to broaden participation in STEM of historically underrepresented groups through a curriculum-based cohort program.
FOCUS is funded by Carleton College, with past funding from the National Science Foundation’s S-STEM program and Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program, through the North Star STEM Alliance as well as the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. FOCUS provides community, support, and academic opportunities for members while encouraging the pursuit of science and math careers.
