| What advice do you have for first–generation students at Carleton? | |
| Find your person! Your mentor. This can be your academic advisor, a professor, a staff member in an academic support department, your work study supervisor, or any trusted member of our campus community. There is no shortage of people that want to support you. Whether it’s to celebrate a win or to find a solution to a challenge, having a mentor(s) reminds us that we are not alone. | |

| What advice do you have for first–generation students at Carleton? | |
| You are not alone! I was a non-traditional student in many ways and know how challenging it can be. My biggest advise is to not hesitate to reach out and ask for help. If you do but do not get the help you need, reach out to somebody else. Do not give up! | |
