Deadlines

Deadline falls on March 1 of each year.

Purpose

The James Madison Memorial Fellowship Program supports future secondary school teachers of American history, American government, or social studies for master’s-level study of the roots, framing, principles, and development of the U.S. Constitution.

Application Process

Interested students should download an application well in advance of the deadline for receipt of applications and all supporting documents. The application requires an essay on the importance of the Constitution and evaluations attesting to the applicant’s academic achievements and potential as a teacher. Deadline falls on March 1 of each year.
