Loved seeing Jill around campus. I would always save the Subway coupons I got in the mail because she liked to give them to her grandkids. I was amazed at all the fundraising she would do through the VFW.

I loved working with Jill over the past 20 years-- she was clever, fun, and deeply devoted to those she loved. Her smile was just magic. She was incredibly helpful to me as the Empty Bowls Project evolved over two decades and we kept working to find the right spot to set up the tables and chairs. Her insights were right on and the event was made better through her contributions to it. She understood the importance of community and she will certainly be missed. My deepest condolences go to her family.

I met Jill like 30 years ago when she worked at Subway. She would always tease me for liking baogna sandwiches (she thought it was only because I was then pregnant!). Over the years it was fun to have her as a colleague at Carleton, and she'd always have a friendly smile and a kind word. She will definitely be missed.
