Jackie Detlie, age 81, died on Saturday, Sept 26th. Jackie retired in 1999 from Custodial Services after more than 21 years of work primarily in Watson Hall. After her retirement, she continued working until 2005 in the Recreation Center as a Control Counter Staff.
Jackie was known for her sense of humor, strong work ethic, and positive attitude. When asked at her retirement to highlight a special accomplishment, Jackie named “trying to be a second mom to the students and to help them as much as I could to feel at home.” Her coworkers also appreciated her dependability, high standards, and genuine love of her job.
