Timeline and Construction Phases

The plan will take shape over a period of five years or more, in four phases, with groundbreaking in April 2023.

Phase 1 – Build Capacity

  • Construct 107 new beds at north campus site (Lilac Hill): six passive houses solar panel ready
  • Construct approximately 33 new beds at the north end of Union Street

Phase 2 – Build New SHAC Facility and South Townhouses

  • Construct remaining 44 beds along Union Street (South) near Townhouses, along with office space for Gender and Sexuality Center and International Student Life
  • Construct multipurpose building (east side Union Street) for SHAC, Title IX, Community Standards, Accessibility Resources and flexible office space

Phase 3 – Renew Existing Houses

  • Renovate Parish, Jewett, Rice, and Page Houses
  • Remove Farm and Parr Houses

Phase 4 – Vacate Houses on West Side of Hwy 19

  • Remove Geffert, Prentice, Allen, and Wilson Houses
  • Remove students from Faculty Club
