    Information and plans for the new Integrated Science Facility
  • Sayles-Hill Café Remodel

    The Sayles-Hill Café was remodeled and opened winter term 2024.
  • Hasenstab Hall

    Carleton’s Old Music Hall was refurbished and repurposed as Hasenstab Hall. Completed in the fall of 2022, it is home to the Department of Political Science.
  • Utility Master Plan

    After years of planning, the college is embarking on a plan for the next 100 years. Carleton’s new utility system will utilize four forms of renewable energy systems: wind, solar photovoltaic, solar thermal, and geothermal. The first phase of construction includes the East Energy Station in the Science Addition and geothermal well drilling.
  • Music and Drama Center Demolition

    Carleton’s music and theater departments moved out of the Music and Drama Center when construction at the Weitz Center was completed. The building site is planned as a future academic building location, and will be restored to green space until there is a need for such a facility.
  • Music & Performance Commons

    Construction began May 2016 and the building opened in September 2017.
  • Scoville and Johnson House Renovations

    In May 2017 the college completed a year-long project to renovate and repurpose Scoville Hall and Johnson House.
  • Evans Hall Renovation

    Evans Hall renovation started mid-June and was completed the end of December, 2012
  • Weitz Center for Creativity

    Although it includes 30,000 square feet of new construction, the history and heart of the Weitz Center for Creativity reside in the former Northfield Middle School building, located on Union Street just south of Nutting House. The vacant building was purchased by Carleton in early 2005 and opened the fall of 2012.
  • Second Wind Turbine

    Carleton built its second wind turbine in 2011, thanks to a generous grant from environmentally-minded alumni Richard and Laurie Kracum.
  • Cassat & Memorial Residence Halls

    In 2009, Carleton completed two new residence halls just south of the Language and Dining Center and north of First Street.
