Arboretum Volunteer Work Event

Sat, March 28, 2026 • 9:00am - 12:00pm (3h) • Upper Arboretum. Meet along the paved trail at the bridge over Spring Creek, near the Carleton tennis courts, just down hill from the Arboretum entrance at Oak and Second Streets.
Volunteers help Nancy at a 3rd Saturday event

Join us to help improve habitat in the Upper Arboretum. Work will depend on the weather but we hope to prepare an area for a future burn by moving woody debris (small logs and branches) away from the edge of the burn area. We may also remove invasive trees and brush including buckthorn, honeysuckle and tree lilac. We will also spend time learning how to identify these non-native shrubs and small trees from our native species.

Please sign up for this event so that we can be in touch with you if our plans change. We will provide all tools and work gloves but please come prepared for the weather and bring your own water.
