Junior Spotlight: Zoë Borden

bordenIn the Junior Spotlight this week: Zoë Borden.

What is one thing your fellow English majors don’t know about you?

My fellow english majors are likely unaware that when I was in elementary school we would have silent individual reading time after recess time. During this time, I was almost always sent into the hallway because I would read my book aloud so I could give the characters funny voices.

Why are you an English major? Why not History, SoAn, CAMS, etc.?

I chose to be an English major because I knew I would never ever get bored with or tire of reading good literature.

What is one book you’d be fine never reading again?

I will never ever again read Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Ew.

You’re stranded on a desert island and can only bring three books. Which books would you bring?

On a desert island I would want What the Dog Saw: And Other Adventures by Malcolm Gladwell, The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, and Emma by Jane Austen.
