This week in the Junior Spotlight: Nityasya Belapurkar (’15).
What is one thing your fellow English majors don’t know about you?
I don’t get poetry. I’m too literal-minded.
Why are you an English major? Why not History, SoAn, CAMS, etc.?
Because I made up my mind five years ago and I’ve been too lazy/scared to change it since.
What is one book you’d be fine never reading again?
Anything that was written before the 20th century.
You’re stranded on a desert island and can only bring three books. Which books would you bring?
The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand, Roethke’s Collected Poems and some terrible historical romance just to balance out all of the morbid seriousness.
