Last week, we got to meet some of our newly declared English majors at the English department’s annual party for major declarations. It was a fun time, complete with trivia (ask Pierre about the time he jumped on a sea lion next time you see him), and of course the time-honored tradition of the faces cake (see Figure 1). So of course, it’s time for the Second Laird Miscellany‘s own time-honored tradition: our annual post introducing this year’s recently declared English majors.
