An Evening of Poetry and Conversation with Douglas Kearney

Douglas Kearney is a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Cy Twombly awardee and Cave Canem fellow. Kearney describes the dynamic and unusual layout of his poems as “performative typography.” He has published seven books, staged four operas, and teaches Creative Writing at the University of Minnesota. His recent works include Optic Subwoof (2022), Sho (2021), and Buck Studies (2016). He examines violence, politics, history, and current events through the lens of art and performance.
