The project features Life Before Death: Encounters with the Terminally Ill, with photographs by German photographer Walter Schels and texts by journalist Beate Lakotta. It also explores the experience of cancer through the work of Spanish artist Josune Urrutia Asua.
Both exhibitions are free and open to the public from May 20–30 at the Hamlin Space in the Weitz Center for Creativity.
The event is part of the course Death and Dying Under Capitalism (Spanish Department) and the Vital Death Cafe, sponsored by the Office of the Chaplain and Ethical Inquiry at Carleton (EthIC).
